Hello, my name is Anna Bankey. I am of Native American (Ojibwe) descent.
I believe that every individual deserves a unique treatment approach in therapy. I work from a strengths based, person-centered framework and utilize psychotherapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Sensitive Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Mindfulness and more.
I work with a wide range of challenges with older adolescents and adults ages 16 plus including: Anxiety, depression, PTSD, dual diagnosis, grief, anger control problems, trauma, low self esteem, sexual abuse victims, couples conflict and life adjustment stressors.
As your therapist, my job is to create an environment so you feel safe, comfortable, and prepared to begin your personal healing journey. I believe that every person has the potential to change their circumstances and build a more meaningful life.
