Hi, my name is Muna Omar. I am a Licensed Graduate Social Worker and have my master’s in clinical social work. Previously, I have worked in different settings including medical, counties, and shelters.
Some of my areas of interest include but are not limited to Bipolar, disorders, anxiety, depression, somatic symptoms, addiction, and family issues. Some of the approaches I like to use are a psychodynamic approach, behavioral therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and person-centered approach where clients are the experts on their own lives and experiences.
I am passionate about making mental health services accessible for marginalized communities. My general passion for mental health started from a very young age due to seeing the positive effect therapy carries and I look forward to serving in the years to come. I also strive to provide my clients a safe and non-judgmental environment.
Some of my hobbies are movie nights with my sisters and best friend and taking long walks when the weather permits. I also enjoy baking for my family.
